The Roça São Miguel terreiro was located at an elevated point of the São Miguel bay overlooking the sea just in front of the Gabado and São Miguel islets. Abandoned for decades and completely recovered by vegetation, São Miguel is one of the most remote and mystical site on the island of São Tomé. While there is no road built to this site yet, it is accessible only by the sea or a daylong pedestrian path in the jungle.
